Doric Lenses Inc is announcing availability of Optogenetics-ready electrical rotary joints. They can be used exclusively for electrophysiology or, in tandem with fiber-optic rotary joints, for recordings of optogenetically induced events.

The electrical rotary joint comes in 6 and 12 contacts versions that provide suitable trade-off between the torque and the number of channels. The product is equipped with suitable holders for 1x1 and 1x2 fiber-optic rotary joints. The through hole of the electrical joints is impressive 7.5mm, the outside diameter is 46 mm and length is 60 mm. For the electrical connection we use HARWIN M80-82612 connectors or wire leads. The beta testing of the product at NIH showed excellent results.
