Driven by the need for ever tighter specs, Doric lenses Inc. has acquired Taylor-Hobson's PGI-840 profilometer for the surface profile measurement of its world-famous cylindrical lenses.

Company believes that with this strategic acquisition it will be possible to meet the most demanding manufacturing tolerances on the lens profile and, on request, provide measurement certificate with each lens.
