ACL - Finite Conjugate

These lenses have at least one surface which is acylindric and is optimized for finite conjugates configurations. Those lenses are useful for 1 axis imaging and fiber coupling of astigmatic source.





They can be made from different materials. Most frequently used so far are fused silica, BK7 and S-TIH53.

Acylindric lenses have similar advantages over cylindrical lenses as aspheric have over spherical lenses. Lenses are optimized to reduce different aberrations in order to achieve superior imaging or collimating performances.
